CrazyLegs Run Draws almost 15,000

It was great to see the annual Crazylegs run is more popular than ever. UW head football coach Bret Bielema was the grand marshal of the event, as well as a participant. He finished 7,425th and came in at a time of 53:34. The overall support for UW Athletics is awesome in the Madison area, although I would like to see support increase in the other areas of state. For example, I believe the news coverage of Badger sports in Milwaukee and Green Bay is poor at best. The entire state of Wisconsin needs to realize that is a "state" school and it needs the entire state's support. GO BUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!

18020 attendance at Spring Game

It was great to see almost 20,000 people in attendance at the Annual Spring Football game. While last year there was only about 10,000. Although, Coach Bielema would eventually like to see that number at 50,000. On the other side the offensive play on the field was outstanding. The first play of the game was a 60 yard strike from Tyler Donovan to Paul Hubbard. Hopefully that will be the tone for the regular season. GO BUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spring Football Game Tomorrow

The annual Spring Football game is tomorrow. I only want one thing out of this organized scrimmage, NO INJURIES. I don't think I am asking that much. Please just ease up on your own team members. Looks like the weather will be perfect. The only thing that makes me sad is that there is no annual Butch's Bologna Bash after the game. I guess everybody will have to the Big Ten Pub instead. It is just not as nice as drinking cocktails and eating sausage inside the field house. GO BUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bo gets paid

The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents approved a $250,000 amendment to the salary of men’s basketball coach Bo Ryan at their meeting Friday in Oshkosh, bringing his total salary for the 2007-08 year to $1.25 million. It is obviously a well deserved bonus for their record setting year. It should also help put Bo in a good mood when he is out making all those recruiting trips. Here is to a awesome 2007-2008 season for the Badger basketball. GO BUCKY!!!!

Wisconsin Runners Look To Slim Down

I was just checking out an article in the Wisconsin State Journal about the Badger running backs are looking to get slimmer and healthier to help prevent injuries during the season. In fact even P.J. Hill has lost 9 pounds. I can't wait until this fall for Badger Football to return. Yesterday I bought my tickets for the Big Ten opener against Iowa from a ticket broker. Madison in the fall is so awesome. On a side note for you trivia fans, Camp Randall was a prison camp for Confederate Soldiers during the Civil War.

Spring Football Practice Resumes

Spring is in the air for the Wisconsin Football team, although it is still snowing outside. As they are preparing for the annual spring football game I only have this one request: NO MAJOR INJURIES PLEASE. I know in the heat of battle it is hard not to give 110% but I hate reading about injuries in the spring football game when it is Badger vs. Badger. GO BUCKY!!!!!!

Annual Spring Football Game is April 21st

Although it is spring break at the University of Wisconsin I have not forgotten that the Badger football team is busy preparing for the football season, even though they were given the week off. The team will return to the gridiron on Tuesday, April 10, and will hold six more practices before the annual spring game April 21. GO BUCKY!!!!!

Women's Hoops Come in 2nd place in WNIT

Congrats on the Women's Badger Basketball team on their great year. Let's hope next year they can qualify for the NCAA tournament. With Jolene Anderson, the pride of South Shore High School, returning for her senior year they should have a good shot at it. GO BUCKY!!!!!!!!!
