Badgers ranked 12th

The University of Wisconsin will open the college football season just outside the top 10, at least in one poll.
The Badgers were ranked No. 12 in the USA Today Preseason Top 25 coaches poll released today. They were the third-highest Big Ten Conference team behind Ohio State (No. 2) and Iowa (No. 1).
UW, which ended last season No. 16 in both the USA Today and the Associated Press poll, came in just ahead of Penn State (No. 14), the only other Big Ten team in the top 25. Future Big Ten member Nebraska will open the season at No. 9.
Defending national champion Alabama is No. 1 atop the preseason coaches' poll.
Boise State will begin the season ranked No. 5. The Broncos, like Alabama, finished last season 14-0. They beat TCU in the Fiesta Bowl.
The Crimson Tide got 55 of 59 possible first place votes. The other four went to Ohio State, which is No. 2 in the newspaper's ranking.
It is great to see the Badgers ranked near the top ten right out of the gate.  GO BUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
